All the latex we sell is natural latex made from the sap of the rubber tree from rubber plantations in Thailand and Malaysia. The latex has a smooth side and a slightly duller side. You can use both sides of the latex. The latex is sold in rolls with a maximum length of 10 meters. The width of the latex can vary from ± 90 cm to ± 130 cm, which differs per manufacturer.

Please notice!
Each supplier uses its own width! Pay attention to that when you buy 'the same' color in different widths! So if you buy for example 'royal blue' with a width of ± 100 cm, and 'royal blue' with a width of ± 110 cm, then that is from two different suppliers! The latex will therefore really be different. The color, finish, stiffness, feel, talcum powder, smell etc. will be different. So keep this in mind with your project.

The thicker the latex, the stiffer and the thinner the more flexible the latex is. Most latex clothing is made of latex with a thickness of 0.40 mm.

We sell the latex in many different nice colors. We have taken photos of each color and sometimes also short videos for an impression of the color. So take a good look at the videos and you will see the latex move and see what the light does to the color of the latex.

Unfortunately it is impossible to display a color correctly on a screen because every screen is different, phone, TV, PC, tablet, laptop etc. This applies not only to latex, but to all materials and images displayed on screens.

So the latex may look different in real life in terms of color, shade, warmth, light, dark, etc. Also, when you receive the latex there is always a layer of white or gray talcum powder on it. Sometimes that is little powder, sometimes that is a lot of powder. Sometimes the powder feels like powder sometimes a little sandy but that too is just talcum powder. Talcum powder also affects the color. Remove the talcum powder with a little water to see the right color. So keep all of this in mind.

Latex is colored with pigments. Each 'dye bath' (batch) can be different, even if you order the same color. Only latex that comes from the same 'dye bath' (batch) always has the same color.

So if you order latex in the color 'red' today, and if you order the color 'red' again tomorrow, there may be a color difference. So keep that in mind and order enough for your project. If you are going to make latex clothing for customers, it is important to inform them as well. Because if they now want to have red latex leggings made and next month they want to have a red jacket made to go with those leggings, then there can be a real color difference.

And did you know that pigments also smell differently? A metallic latex smells different than neon latex, for example.  And scents are also different for each manufacturer because each manufacturer uses its own recipe to make latex. After washing, the smell of latex is all the same again.

And finally… latex is and remains a natural product. The color can also change due to the influence of light, ozone, heat, etc.

This is not only the case with latex, but also with other fabrics, paint and wallpaper, etc.

Because latex is colored with pigments, the color of the latex can also transfer. The advice is therefore not to hang red latex next to white latex, for example, because this will result in stains on the white latex. This applies to all colors. Black can also cause stains. Just like metals, body lotion, perfume etc.
